Papers of Roger Atkinson include accounts, 1762, for groceries, medicinal ingredients, and sundries. Papers of B.M. Atkinson include a prayer, n.d.; copies of letters, 1789, to Benson Fearon, Samuel Pleasants, John Ponsonby, and others, regarding shipping of tobacco and sundries, political turmoil between Great Britain and the colonies, the Revolutionary War, and financial matters; diary entries, January 1872, regarding house calls; and accounts, 1869-1907, for sundries, employee wages, and personal and household expenses. Also includes accounts, 1792-1803, of Thomas Atkinson, for household expenses, slave hiring, sundries, and personal loans. Also included in the collection is an untitled religious poem, n.d., signed by Augusta Russell Hall.
